Watch the Soska Sisters’ Epic New Action-Comedy Short TWINPOOL!

If you’re a true horror fan, “Twisted Twins” Jen & Sylvia Soska need no introduction… but I’m going to sing their praises again… well, just because they’re awesome, and they’ve just handed an amazing Valentine’s Day gift to genre fans.

The filmmaking duo continue to ramp up their creative game with each new project (they’re currently in production on a remake of David Cronenberg’s RABID, with the original director’s blessing), as well as supporting charitable causes like Women in Horror Month’s annual blood drivego here to watch Izzy Lee’s darkly comic “PSA” spot IT’S IN YOU, which debuted on the twins’ YouTube Channel last week.

Their Valentine’s Day surprise, which they began teasing at the top of February, premiered today on that same channel as part of the same charity drive… and if you’re even remotely a fan of Marvel’s fourth-wall-breaking “Merc with a Mouth,” you’re going to dig this hilariously action-packed twist on the character.

TWINPOOL stars the Soskas themselves as two foul-mouthed, flatulent gasoline-guzzling Deadpools, one of whom seems to be… well, I won’t spoil it, other than to say there’s a distinct FIGHT CLUB groove going on here.

Watch it below:

Helming the film alongside veteran stunt performer-turned-director Lauro “Lash” Chartrand, the sisters also co-wrote the script with comic writer Daniel K. Way — who has not only written for DEADPOOL, but other popular Marvel titles including WOLVERINE, VENOM, GHOST RIDER and more. The result is a perfect fusion of the Soskas’ trademark macabre humor — remember, they’re the minds behind AMERICAN MARY and DEAD HOOKER IN A TRUNK — and Chartrand’s natural gift for staging a gut-punching action sequence.

Women in Horror Month’s Ninth Annual Blood Drive (#WiHM9) adopts the motto “Be a Hero,” and the Twins have embraced that idea in every sense — not just kicking all the asses onscreen here, but also through their tireless efforts to raise awareness for the campaign. So do them a solid — not only by watching and voting up their new film, but heading to your nearest blood donation center this month (and any other month, for that matter), and becoming a hero to someone in need.
