If you’re a serious fan of internet horror legends and lore, you’re probably familiar with the infamous Mr. Creepy Pasta — one of the most popular names in the viral horror and flash-fiction field.
With co-founder Vincent V. Cava, Mr. Creepy Pasta (MCP) has grown an intense following since the genre’s early years, with a YouTube channel boasting 1.3 million subscribers and series like “Mr. Creepy Pasta Story Time” updated several times a week — drawing over 200 million views since the channel launched in 2011.
Over that time, MCP and Vincent have branched out into a multimedia empire, including print and eBook anthologies of their original and most-shared stories, standing-room-only live performances of fan favorites and new material (often with live musical accompaniment), and their own mobile app.
Billed as “the very first full-length comic book influenced by internet horror,” the first issue contains two original stories, tapping into classic web legends (“He is The Rake”) while introducing some chilling new villains (“I Waited Inside Her Closet”).
While influenced by the legendary horror comics of the 1950s — including a horrific Master of Ceremonies, here known as the “Blueman” — CREEPYPASTA has a slick, postmodern vibe thanks to the work of up-and-coming artists like Chris “Oz” Fulton (known for his work on the official GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY trading card series and many more), Maja Cronvall, and Teo Gonzales.
