The CREEPSHOW Graphic Novel Is Now Back In Print!

This is just awesome news!

I’ve had horror anthologies on the brain quite a bit lately. Part of it has to do with our recent episode of Shock Waves where we built our own perfect horror anthologies by picking our favorites segments and wrap-around stories. Another reason may be because Scream Factory just put out the long-lost gem TALES FROM THE HOOD on Blu-Ray. And I think I’m going to attempt 31 days of “Horror Anthologies” this upcoming Halloween! (Hey, we’re half way to Halloween, might as well start thinking about it now!)

Universally, CREEPSHOW is considered one of the quintessential of all the horror anthologies. You’ve got original EC Comics-esque stories by Stephen King, all directed by George Romero, featuring a who’s who of great genre actors. I mean, what other recipe do you need for this sort of stuff?!

Well, a comic version can only add to the experience. And for a while there, a graphic novel version of CREEPSHOW did exist, featuring art y the late, great Bernie Wrightson. This book has been out of print for years and a much coveted collector’s item. But… no longer!

The fine fiends from Gallery 13, along with Simon & Schuster are re-printing the book, and it arrives Tuesday, May 9th! You can find it where ever books are sold. Here’s the direct link to the Amazon listing. Cover and full press release below!

The graphic novel adaptation of the classic horror anthology film written by Stephen King, with art by Bernie Wrightson!

Now back in print: the graphic novel adaptation of Stephen King’s Creepshow, based on the 1982 horror anthology and cult classic film directed by George Romero (Night of the Living Dead, Dawn of the Dead)—and featuring stunning illustrations by the legendary Bernie Wrightson and cover art by the acclaimed Jack Kamen! A harrowing and darkly humorous tribute to the controversial and influential horror comics of the 1950s, Creepshow presents five sinister stories from the #1 New York Times bestselling author—“Father’s Day,” “The Lonesome Death of Jordy Verrill,” “Something to Tide You Over,” “The Crate,” and “They’re Creeping Up on You”…unforgettable tales of terror to haunt your days and nights!
