NSFW: BODY COUNT’s Latest Is The Metal Album We Need Right Now!

A few days ago, a friend of mine on Facebook posted a link announcing that “Rage Against The Machine were getting back together for a new album and tour!” And when I clicked over to the actual article, it turned out to be one of those annoying prank “FOOLED YOU” links. And I thought, of course! RAGE is never around when we actually need them! During the Bush presidency, they were doing the Audioslave thing with Chris Cornell. For Trump’s anti-inauguration, again, Audioslave was the band that played. What the hell?

So be it. This week, Ice-T’s metal band BODY COUNT has come up twice. Earlier this week when we ran an interview with him conducted by Michael Gingold, and then again, during the latest episode of my pop culture podcast Two Dudes Talking where my co-host Tony Giles was raving about their new album. I jumped online afterwords and looked up the music videos for this new record “Bloodlust.” And holy crap! It’s AWESOME.

I immediately bought the entire album on iTunes, and realized that this is the metal record we need right about now. Angry, potent, real, with something to say and say it loud. Check out the video below for “No Lives Matter,” the first single from “Bloodlust.”

And here’s the most recently released music video for “Black Hoodie” directed by Treach and Itchy House.

If you need more incentive to check out this album, it features a cover of Slayer’s “Raining Blood,” and guest appearances by MEGADETH’s Dave Mustaine, SEPULTURA’s Max Cavalera and LAMB OF GOD’s Randy Blythe.

Buy it right here!
