It’s been 30 years of Glass Eye Pix, and if you wanted to delve into the unique horror filmography of the driving force behind the company, you should start with Scream Factory‘s excellent box set THE LARRY FESSENDEN COLLECTION. It collects his first 4 feature films: NO TELLING, HABIT, WENDIGO and THE LAST WINTER. But, if you’re already a fan of the auteur, then the following is an absolute treat!
Personally, I hold his feature HABIT up as not only as one of my favorite genre films, but it’s in my top 5 vampire films of all time. There’s something so real, honest and sad about that film. And it captures a very specific time period for New York City. While there were already great features on the Blu-Ray set, filmmaker Adam Barnick has been creating new mini-documentaries in honor of Glass Eye Pix’s 30th anniversary. We’ve showcased a few here and here, but now, he sets his sights on “Looking Back on HABIT,” a 15 minute featurette showcasing new interviews with Larry Fessenden, Aaron Beall and Patricia Coleman. Check it out below!
