Halloween is almost here! And Netflix has some choice selections for all of your holiday viewing. Some of these are reasonable well-known and likely have been viewed by devote horror fans, but Halloween is the perfect time to revisit these delightful terrors!

A police squad is sent to investigate an abandoned building in a rural part of town but discovers the building is hell on earth. This one is not for the faint of heart or stomach.
One of the older movies on the list, JAWS is still terrifying and leaves you questioning your next beach trip.

A deaf woman living in a rural home is stalked by a masked killer. This is a wonderful slasher-style horror film!
THE BABADOOK (2014)
A woman and her peculiar son are haunted by a storybook monster that seems to be real.
DARK SKIES (2013)
This is an alien film, but it comes across more as a psychological haunted house movie. A family is frightened by aliens who warp their reality and play with their lives. DARK SKIES has some wonderful jump scares.
WES CRAVEN’S NEW NIGHTMARE (1994)
Freddy was scary as hell in the original A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET, but then quickly morphed into the funny stand-up style Freddy for which he is well-known. But Freddy returns to his frightening roots (and he is downright terrifying here) in this rather meta inclusion in the ELM STREET franchise.
