It’s turning out to be a good week (and maybe a sleepless night or two) if you’ve been craving new updates on the mammoth big-screen adaptation of Stephen King’s IT from MAMA director Andrés Muschietti.
Just this morning, we shared some amazing, clue-filled images from Muschietti’s own Instagram account (which includes a first look at STRANGER THINGS co-star Finn Wolfhard as Richie “Beep-Beep” Tozier), and now Entertainment Weekly has one-upped their previous reveal of Bill Skarsgård in his Pennywise makeup… by pulling the camera back enough to reveal the killer clown in all his diabolical glory:
Emmy-winning Costume designer Janie Bryant (MAD MEN) told the magazine that the concept for this Pennywise draws on centuries of history — including Medieval, Renaissance, Elizabethan, and Victorian eras — to reflect the immortal villain’s “otherworldly past lives.”
The first installment of the two-film adaptation of IT is set to premiere on September 8, 2017. Here’s hoping we get more amazing updates to hold us over…
