Audiences were first introduced to the horrifying story behind the haunted doll Annabelle in THE CONJURING. On the surface she looks harmless, but inside lies a demon waiting to possess your soul. The doll was taken in by famed paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren in 1970, and was placed inside their occult museum. Now, Lorraine and company are hosting an event called “An Evening with Annabelle,” where you can come face-to-face with the villainous entity.
The Evening with Annabelle will be hosted by Ed and Lorraine’s paranormal group, The New England Society for Psychic Research (N.E.S.P.R.) on September 10, 2016 in Monroe, Connecticut. Guests will dine with NESPR members and other supernatural devotees at a local restaurant before partaking in an eventful evening full of ghostly tales and encounters with the faces of evil.
Hosted by NESPR Director, Tony Spera, the night will conclude at the Warren home with lectures and viewings of their case files. The night includes a heartfelt tribute to Lorraine’s beloved Ed Warren, who passed away in 2006. Visitors will be shown a video tour of the Warren occult museum, narrated by the late Ed Warren, who describes the history behind some of their most notable haunted artifacts.
Along with detailed accounts of the dangerous items in their occult museum, dinner guests will get to hear actual recordings taken from the Enfield Poltergeist case featured in THE CONJURING 2. The Enfield Poltergeist is a case of demonic possession that the Warren’s helped investigate for a family in England.
After hearing graphic and harrowing recordings from the Enfield case, NESPR will open up the occult museum for guests. Visitors will be shown three of their most diabolical findings: Annabelle, the Shadow Doll, and the conjuring mirror—all items that hold extremely dark forces.
While having a chance to pose next to Annabelle as she sits safely behind her case, the Warren’s and company will unearth haunted artifacts never-before-seen by the public. Be the first to see these haunted items from one of their cases. And you never know, the history behind the object could be turned into another horror movie some day!
The occasion comes at a time when special events at the Warren home are few and far between. Lorraine rarely does special appearances now that Ed is gone, and touring the occult museum requires setting up appointments. The event will allow paranormal enthusiasts alike to gather, discuss and absorb the history surrounding the Warrens and their home.
