Talking Stephen King, OCULUS, HUSH & More With Mike Flanagan On SHOCK WAVES Episode 4!

It’s Wednesday, which means it’s time for a brand new episode of the horror podcast SHOCK WAVES!

On episode 4, join hosts Rebekah McKendry, Elric Kane and (yours truly) Rob Galluzzo as we discuss the latest horrors! We report back from the month-long “witch horror” celebration at the Cinefamily with their screenings of HAXAN and EYES OF FIRE. Elric praises the new series from the creator of THE WALKING DEAD, Robert Kirkman’s OUTCAST. (Which you can watch right here!) And Rob fills us in on the FENDER BENDER premiere screening. (Airing on Chiller this Friday June 3rd!)

Then we add a new segment into the show “Now Spinning,” where we play some cues from the COVEN soundtrack LP, the short film from AMERICAN MOVIE’s Mark Borchardt by Patrick Nettesheim. Ryan Turek chimes in with his “horror pick of the pick” EMELIE. Then we welcome very special guest Mike Flanagan to the show!

We have a lengthy chat with the filmmaker about everything from the original OCULUS short film to his love of Stephen King and his take on GERALD’S GAME, “DREAMCATCHER” day, how he got Doug Jones in his first film, the making of HUSH, writing the I KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST SUMMER remake, why he chose to direct OUIJA 2 and much, much more. Kick back and join in on the conversation!
