Mass Epidemic of Terrifying Seizures in Peru Blamed on Ominous “Man in Black”

Remember our report earlier this month on a rash of unexplained possession-like attacks gripping students in Malaysian schools? While the experts are still trying to make sense of those frightening incidents, yet another group of school children — on the opposite side of the planet this time — has fallen victim to an almost identical phenomenon.

At Elsa Perea Flores School in the Peruvian town of Tarapoto, dozens of students between the ages of 11 and 14 have been falling victim to strange and violent seizures, followed by accounts of nightmarish hallucinations, most of which involve a mysterious “Man in Black.”

School officials and authorities are shocked and baffled by what many believe to be a wave of demonic possession… which some locals claim to be connected to rumors that the school is built over a cemetery for violent criminals.

The disturbing video below reportedly shows multiple examples of students falling victim to the bizarre spells, which often involved powerful convulsions, screaming, vomiting, foaming at the mouth and losing consciousness.

“We don’t understand how this has kept on going on,” said Dr. Anthony Choy in an interview with Panamericana TV. “We know it started on 29th April and now it is still happening.”

One unnamed student suffering from the affliction described the man in her visions as “a tall man all dressed in black and with a big beard… it felt like he was trying to strangle me.” This account matched several others almost exactly.

As of this report, the investigation into possible psychological or medical causes for this shocking behavior has been inconclusive, but officials claim that between 80 and 100 students have been afflicted.
