EXCLUSIVE: Check Out the Lineup of New Genre Films Screening at ETHERIA FILM NIGHT!

We’re stoked to announce the final lineup and full event schedule for this year’s Etheria Film Night — an annual festival focusing entirely on genre films directed by women, attended by film industry insiders, journalists and fans.

On June 11 at Hollywood’s historic Egyptian Theater, Etheria will be screening nine short films, as well as an exclusive sneak preview of Anna Biller’s feature THE LOVE WITCH.

The night’s screenings will be preceded by Etheria’s annual Inspiration Award ceremony, honoring a genre film/TV pioneer who has inspired women to create their own genre films. Past award winners have included Jennifer Lynch (THE WALKING DEAD) and Mary Lambert (PET SEMATARY), and this year’s recipient is Jackie Kong, director of cult faves THE BEING and BLOOD DINER.

The films will be followed by Q&A with the filmmakers in attendance, and the jury panel is a virtual who’s-who of genre names — including directors like Paul Feig (2016’s GHOSTBUSTERS) and Larry Fessenden (HABIT), TV show-runners like THE WALKING DEAD’s Gale Ann Hurd and HANNIBAL’s Bryan Fuller, celebrated horror authors and screenwriters, and genre journalists/filmmakers like ShockTilYouDrop’s Chris Alexander and our very own Editor-In-Chief, Rebekah McKendry!

Past film entries have included Rose McGowan’s DAWN and Amber Benson’s SHEVENGE, and this year’s lineup looks pretty damn amazing. We’ve got trailers and images galore, and clicking on most of the titles below will link to the corresponding film’s official site or Facebook page. Check ’em out!
