Most of my fellow horror fans have also been big admirers of black cats (allergies notwithstanding), and I’m sure if a breed with vampire-like fangs was available, they’d be adopting the hell out of those cute little monsters.

While that dream hasn’t come true as far as I know, there was at least one vampire kitty out there in the world looking for a new home: according to a recent article by Metro Lifestyle writer Ellen Scott, a four-year-old black domestic shorthair by the name of Rory was recently delivered to the UK’s Battersea Dogs & Cats Home after his owners were reportedly unable to care for him.
Apparently, dental surgery left Rory without most of his teeth — except for two very prominent, “most excellent” fangs.

According to JoAnna Puzzo, head of the Battersea “Cattery Team,” Rory is an affectionate little dude who loves to cuddle and play with his “feather waggler” toy.
“Someone adopt this cat so I don’t give in and seriously piss off my landlord,” Scott wrote in her column.
The article quickly went viral worldwide, and before long people were contacting Rory’s Battersea caretakers about adopting him. We’re happy to say that, as of this writing, he’s “on reserve” for a qualified family and likely on his way to a new home.

Rory’s also got a stateside counterpart: Loki, who hails from Maine and has become an Instagram celebrity since last year, had similar dental work done, and is rising in social media status along the lines of Grumpy Cat, Lil’ Bub and other feline web-celebs. You can check out his photos here.
