Game developer Gun Media recently released a video of some of the kills from Friday the 13th: The Game… and even in a high-tech motion capture lab, Jason Voorhees is effin’ brutal!
Check this out…
That patented FRIDAY THE 13TH viciousness comes to you courtesy of actor Kane Hodder, who played the merciless killer in more of the franchise’s movies than anyone else.
“We spent five days shooting the motion capture for Friday the 13th: The Game, and I loved every minute of it.” Hodder said. “When you behead or impale a counselor, it’s not a generic animation. It’s my actions of strength and power that you wield.” That is some serious commitment to killing teenagers!
Friday the 13th: The Game was funded through Kickstarter, and fans raised around $823,000 in the initial round of funding. But the game’s “Slasher Backer” campaign is ongoing, so if you want to help make F13:TG more awesome (and pre-order your copy), click this link.
Funding is at $885,000 now, but if/when it gets to $925,000, three new counselors will be added, and at $950,000 look for three new kills designed by effects legend Tom Savini! If enough people support the project, Gun will add Tommy Jarvis, a playable Pamela Voorhees, and even the highly requested single-player mode.
