I know the premise sounds weird, but this is a shockingly smart movie. Focusing on a homicidal tire (yes, you read that correctly) RUBBER is a dark comedy that is well aware of its own silly premise, but stylishly utilizes it to make commentary on the act of watching movies. Oh, the layers.

JOHN DIES AT THE END (2012)

THE NIGHTMARE (2015)
This may be one of the most startling documentaries ever made. The film examines a group of individuals who all suffer from sleep paralysis, a condition where the victim’s brain starts to fall asleep, causing paralysis and dream-like hallucinations, but they are still very much awake and conscious. If the condition alone doesn’t freak you out, just wait for the reenactments of the weird and horrifying visions the victims endure.
