5 Fantastic Horror Discoveries Streaming this Week on Netflix!

I love exploring Netflix because I always find a movie I’ve never heard of, one I’ve been wanting to see, or something I haven’t watched in ages. This week, I was able to find some terrific newly released horror flicks and also a few older titles that are worth revisiting.

FROM DUSK TILL DAWN: THE SERIES (2014)

Developed by Robert Rodriquez, the series follows the same plot as the movie, also expanding greatly on the vampire mythos and background. The first two seasons are now available for streaming on Netflix.

TURBO KID (2015)

This scifi/action/horror gem was a festival fave in 2015. In a post apocalyptic world, a teenager takes on the persona of his favorite comic book hero in order to save a girl from a brutal war lord.

VISIONS (2015)

Directed by Kevin Greutert who helmed JESSABELLE and some of the SAW films, this movie had a quiet release but packs some great scares. After moving into a rural vineyard with her family, a pregnant woman begins experiencing disturbing visions.

This landmark and brutal Chan-Wook Park South Korean film focuses on a man who is kidnapped and imprisoned for 15 years. He is then suddenly released and given only 5 days to uncover why he was imprisoned in the first place.
