Over the years, SILENT NIGHT, DEADLY NIGHT PART 2 has become a bonafide cult classic, primarily for its infamous “garbage day” scene among other quotable moments in its thoroughly entertaining 90 minute running time. I’ve always thought the film was a tremendous amount of fun and have been playing it at Christmas parties for years! The biggest mystery surrounding the film was the whereabouts of its lead, Eric Freeman. That is, up until a few short years ago when the reclusive, retired actor showed up at a midnight screening of the notorious sequel at Los Angeles New Beverly theater.
Over the course of the last year, a group of filmmakers has been working on a documentary about the former Ricky Caldwell and his cult following titled FINDING FREEMAN. So, considering that his whereabouts were a mystery for the last few decades, it warms my little heart to see a video like this pop up with Freeman wishing us all a Merry Christmas and a happy “Garbage Day” while shredding on the electric guitar.
Sir, the same to you from the entire Blumhouse.com gang!
