UPDATE: Rob Zombie confirms his new album The Electric Warlock Acid Witch Satanic Orgy Celebration Dispenser (Yes! That IS the real title!) will drop on in 2016! Perhaps January 11th will be the first single or video? Or maybe the whole record! Cover image was posted to Facebook. Our original article below.
Rob Zombie is machine! Between movies and music and touring, the prolific artists is always cranking on something. And as we eagerly await news of the release plan for his new horror film 31, we can mark down January 11th, 2016 as something new that Zombie teased about on his Facebook page last night with the following video promo clip:
Will it be a new album? It sure sounds like it. Back in August, he told Blabbermouth to expect some new music in March. But a lot can change over the course of 4 months. “I wanna do a very large visual component to go with the record — shoot thirteen videos, or shoot a movie go with it.” Whether that’s still the plan or not is yet to be confirmed, but maybe he finished the music portion of the album and is ready to unleash it on the world in the New Year? He’s confirmed for the Northern Invasion weekend on May 14th and 15th, so a tour announcement might also be on the horizon.
The clip above is titled “Electric Warlock” and the phrase that keeps getting repeated in the song is “Electric Warlock Acid Witch.” We did a quick search on Amazon to see if this was the title of his upcoming album and what came up was Rob Zombie: The Electric Warlock Acid Witch Satanic Orgy Celebration Dispenser. God, I hope that’s legitimately the full title.
More when we hear it! In the meantime, be sure to keep tabs on Zombie’s official Facebook page and be prepared for whatever’s coming on January 11th!
