Glass Eye Pix Presents: THE ART OF BECK UNDERWOOD

Last month, we celebrated the long-awaited premiere of a brand-new season of TALES FROM BEYOND THE PALE — the intensely scary, sometimes hilarious and always entertaining audio drama series from indie horror icon Larry Fessenden, writer-director Glenn McQuaid, and production company Glass Eye Pix — by revealing a wickedly whimsical stop-motion animated promo sequence from filmmaker Beck Underwood. (If you missed that, be sure to check it out ASAP.)

Today, we’re excited to present another Glass Eye exclusive: the latest installment in a series of candid behind-the-scenes featurettes from Glass Eye Pix and director Adam Barnick in which we get a peek at Beck Underwood’s creative process — beginning with her work as art director for Larry Fessenden’s earliest film projects (the long-time creative partners are also husband and wife), and continuing through her work on several well-known Glass Eye productions including HABIT, STAKE LAND and I SELL THE DEAD. She also explains her fascination with incorporating dolls and other toys in her work, from her early short THAT CREEPY OLD DOLL to a series of music videos, and of course, the new TALES promo.

If you like this featurette, be sure to check out Adam Barnick’s mini-documentary on the making of TALES FROM BEYOND THE PALE, Season 3!
